Feb 4 - Disneyland

My cousin, Lisa, and her 17 year old son, Des are in town this week. They were heading to Disneyland today so they gave us a call and we went to meet them. My girls have never met either of them but you wouldn't have known that after 2 minutes together.

We joined Lisa and Des at California Adventure where Ashley joined them in line for a ride on the Mullholland Madness Roller Coaster while Halle and I watched (she's just a tiny bit too short!). From there, it was off to the maliboomer and then on to the Mickey Roller Coaster. Halle and I went on the Ariel merry go round while the others had fun on the coaster and then it was time to head to California Soarin'. On the way, Des stopped to get a hot dog. Halle decided she should have one too. Des told her they could be hot dog buddies and from that point on, he had a magnet.

Halle is still too short for Soarin' so her and I waited while the others went for a ride. The girl working the ride felt bad for Halle so she opened her little box of badges and told Halle she could have one (or 2). Halle chose one, based on the characters, that said "1st visit" and another that said "Happy Anniversary". When she found out that one of them said 1st visit, she instantly took it off and held it tight until Des returned. She then gave him the button since it was his first visit. She wanted him to have it instead.

Next we headed over to Disneyland and as soon as we got in to the park, Halle forgot that everybody else existed. She wanted to ride every ride with Des and had to hold his hand whenever she could. He was such a great sport. He seemed to have just as much fun with Ashley and Halle as they had with him.

At the end of the day, we got on the tram to head back to our cars and Halle curled up beside Des and put her head on his lap and pretended to go to sleep. It was quite adorable and, of course, I couldn't resist taking a picture.

So Lisa and Des, if you happen to see this blog, thanks for a fun day! I hope you guys had fun too!
